Just to let all of you know, I've had a bit of a family emergency, so have had to spend time with that today. I will publish an ESS conversation update this week and some more in-depth thoughts about the battery market in general in another post soon. Thank you for your interest in CTVR's work!
Thanks for your comment, Fer. I will be talking to ESS this afternoon and will ask them about Softbank ownership. From my understanding, SB Energy owns around 20% of the shares after the de-SPAC. I do not know if other Softbank entities own ESS so will clarify with them today.
Just wrote most of it. I have a meeting with a BESS developer later today so will finish up after I get a bit more information about the competitive landscape.
I'm curious about softbank and if they have had anything to do with the CEO resignation, with Masayoshi Son recent announcements of data center buildup with the Trump administration knowing that ESS has already a contract (2gigawatt worth of storage) with them and adding to the equation that softbank energy is (if I'm not mistaken, or my info is outdated) a majority owner of ESS.

Looking foward to your follow up article! Thanks Erik
